                                                                                                MON FRERE, TE REVOILA !

Me dis-je. Non !

                                                                                       BROTHER, YOU'RE BACK!

The second funny story that happened to me with the Lord took place in « Nice - France »

I went to the church on Walesa Boulevard at that time. My nephew, Pierre, from Briançon, was on holiday with us.

On almost all my outings, especially for my work, he was not reluctant to accompany me, but, as far as inviting him to a church meeting was concerned, I had to get up early!

One Sunday morning, however, he accepted, not without warning me not to introduce him to anyone and to keep us away! It was so he wouldn't feel embarrassed. I accepted this condition and fully understood his point of view.

Arriving a little before the hour, I was ahead of Peter to greet my brothers and sisters in faith, leaving my nephew by the entrance. At that moment, a brother of good build crossed me, holding both arms in the air and crying out: Oh! Brother, you're back!!!!! And he kissed Peter so strongly, that I thought he was going to suffocate him in his arms.

However, all of a sudden, challenged by Peter's lack of reaction, he let go of his embrace and moved back a little bit from that Peter who looked more like a victim who received a big firecracker than my nephew and, confused in apology, exclaimed: "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were Brother Henry, you look so much like him!

The following Sunday, I invited him back to a meeting and he refused categorically. So I suggested that he see the Assembly of Cimiez, a church of more than five hundred people. Over there, it would be perfect anonymity! I argued.

First sceptical, then willing, he warned me again to accept his condition, which this time was to arrive late and get to the bottom of it. No problem! No problem! I said to him.

We arrived, as agreed, largely late and, as soon as we entered, a black brother greeted us and, taking us by the arm, drove us to place us. Never, since I knew this Church, had I seen the room full with people standing in the back. The brother kept pushing us forward but I couldn't see any free space in my field of vision! except... yes! I could see the podium of the empty orchestra! But no, he won't dare! I thought to myself. No! I don't believe it! He pushed us to climb the stairs of the stage, there in front of the whole assembly!

We had to get on the stage and he made us sit on two chairs... near the preacher, in front of the whole assembly that was watching only us!
